Few things are as constant and enduring as the relationships between women. So much has been written about the subject, but so little aptly describes the bond I share with my friends. I can add simply this: I treasure my friends.

It has been decided that once we outlive our husbands we will share a house. We’ll have pictionary nights with cocktails; pool boys and lawn boys; weekends with our children and grand children. (Not much different than our former single lives).

It sounds great, right?

Our history is etched in each other; our roots, entwined. Thank goodness for the refuge found in a true friend.
