The bizarre weather shifts we’ve had in south Florida — cold mornings, balmy afternoons, really cold evenings — have left all of us fighting off colds.

One of our daughters, Maya, was suffering through a bronchial induced coughing fit when my husband decided yoga might help her through it.

As I passed by the room, I caught sight of my good-natured husband twisting his uncooperative legs into a lotus position and Sophia following suit. Maya curled around his legs, her back spasming with each cough.

Despite Maya’s discomfort, his yoga and fire-breathing excercise amused us. Here, Sophie tries to quiet her giggle and control the smile that kept creeping up her lips.

For one brief moment Sophie controlled her smile.
