Last Sunday I spent more time than I care to admit looking for two Color Me Mine locations that, unbeknownst to me, closed down several years ago — apparent victims of the recession. Anyway, the girls and I drove around for about two hours crisscrossing Miami looking for these locations. Maya, whose patience is nonexistent, impatiently sat rolling her eyes each time I pulled over to google an address. Sophie sat in the car singing along and shrieked each time we heard the G6 song by Far East Movement.
We ended up in Coconut Grove. It turned out great! There is a great public art exhibition of peacocks throughout the Grove. Anyway, the girls insisted on taking pictures on every peacock we saw. They day turned out just great despite its inauspicious beginnings.
