It’s been two weeks since we changed the clocks for daylight savings, yet I still wake up every weekday, resentful of the one hour loss of sleep. 

I recall as a kid handling jet lag like a champ, and not skipping a beat. Today, that hour loss of sleep in the morning becomes the one and only hour we most fully appreciate of sun setting light at the end of the day.

Walk out of your house today (with a camera in hand) between 6:40 and 7:15 p.m., and you’ll see what I mean. For about 30 minutes, just before the sun settles for the day, the light is extraordinary. These last rays are warm, golden and beautiful.
